With a commendable rating of 4.3, it stands out as a notable choice for travelers seeking comfort without compromising affordability.
The hotel's charm is accentuated by rooms that open to breathtaking views of the lake, particularly those with balconies. Beautiful rooms with a view on the lake if you book the right ones. Very happy with our 2-person room with the small balkony. We arrived on a rainy day and the room made everything better imediately. The service is good too and the prices are affordable. Everything was very clean when we checked in and the bed felt comfortable.
Quirky and friendly hotel. Room was spacious and the bed comfortable and firm. They have rooms overlooking the lake directly.
Solo English speaking tourist - I stayed here for only one night as I was passing through Tulcea. Great room, perfect view. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful with very good english. Upon my return to Tulcea I missed the last bus back to Bucharest, and was finding it difficult to get help on the street. I returned to Hotel Insula to simply ask for help and the receptionist happily printed out the schedule of another bus company and told me where I needed to go. 10/10 will return!
Much more tastefully decorated than expected. The location and the concept are awesome. Everything was clean, the staff of the hotel was very friendly and welcoming. As for the restaurant, while it was nice it's non-stop and it has 3 dining areas, I found the menu quite dull and the personnel rather poorly prepared.
I was happy with the hotel, there wasn’t hot water for showering unfortunately but the view to the lake made up for it. Reception was helpful. The food at the restaurant was incredibly tasty and I liked the staff a lot.
Excellent location. Just adjacent to the railway station. A 300m from the bus station. A 300m away from the water front promenade. Clean, well equipped and room with reasonable size. Nice sunset view for room with balcony facing the lake.
Can t say anything about the rooms, but the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. It was 1st of December, Romanian National Day, and the glasses had napkins in the colors of the national flag in them. The service was very nice, fast, kind staff. Food is tasty, specially the fish dishes, but the portions could be a bit more generous.
The hotel s location is really good, it's clean and the restaurant is good. My only 2 criticisms are : the lack of air conditioning ( keep in mind that it is a cheap hotel so it will not have everything ) and the leaking toilet ( I am sure it was only in our room ) Nevertheless , the hotel is great for what it is. Would recommend
